We visited Kütahya Anatolian High School!
We held our sessions for Kütahya province at Kütahya Anatolian High School during 12-13 April 2016 with the participation of approximately 250 students, their teachers and parents. Discussios were made about gender inequalities and their role on occupation selection during these sessions. Our project team was voluntarily supported by the vendor of Ford Otosan in the province Otokoç Kütahya as well as volunteer Ford Otosan engineers İbrahim Kul and Nur İpek Karagöz.
Honey Bees of Eskişehir Anatolian High School: “I ALSO CAN MAKE IT”
We held our sessions at Eskişehir Anatolian High School on 07-08 April 2016 with the support of the volunteer Ford Otosan engineers Simge Gizem Yılmaz and Emre Kotan. We discussed obstacles derived from social gender inequalities on occupation selection and engineering as an occupation with the participation of more than 200 students, their teachers and parents; at the end we said “I ALSO CAN MAKE IT” with the honey bees of Eskişehir.
First Stop of the Week is Bilecik Refik Arslan Öztürk Science High School
First stop of the week was Bilecik. During the meetings that were held on 21-22 March our project team met with the students and the teachers of the Refik Arslan Öztürk Science High School. With the participation of more than 100 participants, we discussed engineering as an occupation and importance of occupational gender equality.
First step of Honey Bees Project was taken in Kocaeli
Project Team had their first acquaintance with students in Kocaeli on 16-17-18 December 2015. During the 3-day program, the sessions titled‘On the Way to Professional Orientation of Female High School Students: Everyone can Become an Engineer’ and ‘Professional Orientation from a Gender Perspective’ were included in the agenda..
Engineers Care for Gender !
We held a Gender Awareness Workshop on 26 November 2015 as a part of the project activities in order to strenghten the awareness of our volunteer engineers.
There are no obstacles that will keep you from becoming an engineer
We introduced engineering profession to the participating female students at our visit in İstanbul between 4-8 January 2016. We also encouraged students based on the idea that “no obstacles for women who want to become an engineer that will keep them from this choice”.
We Organized a Session with the Potential Honey Bees in Bursa
Our project team was in Bursa on 11-12-13 January 2016. As well as introducing engineering as a profession to students in Bursa. Sessions included ‘On the Way to Choice of Profession: Everyone can Become an Engineer” and “Different Approaches Concerning Professional Orientation: Who Becomes an Engineer?” were also held with the participation of the students, teachers and parents.
Honey Bees are Becoming Engineers
Ford Otosan gave a start to I Support Gender Equality: Honey Bees are Becoming Engineers Project which is a part of the 2015-2017 social responsibility campaign of the Company by linking a cooperation agreement with Flying Broom Women Communication and Research Association and Turkish Ministry of Education. The Project Team took their first step with a meeting held on 1 August 2015.
We are at Sakarya Anatolian High School
On 24-25 March, we discussed the importance of occupational gender equality at the 2-day sessions we held at Sakarya Anatolian High School with the participation of the 200 students, their teachers and parents.
